Perhaps they are some of the factors, however, as for us, a good gym is one full with smiles mutual respect. We train, laugh, respect and support each other at all times.

There are so many people in their thirties age and forties age now training at HKJJ.HKJJ have people of different age groups and from all walks of life makes for a great atmosphere. When there is a tournament, we fight like a team and are there for each other.

It is not possible to become skilled and strong on your own. You must have members who can train at your level otherwise it is ineffective. By acknowledging and respecting one another, teaching and learning with one another, it is possible to step-up and skill-up. This is a feature of Jiu-Jitsu, by encouraging and helping your gym mates, in effect your skills will improve greatly. If in fact you are interested in our concept and you decide to join HONG KONG JIU-JITSU, this gym will become your special place because you have become part of the family.

Although BJJ in Hong Kong is just starting to expand, with support and help from our South East Asia neighbor countries, We believe the population will grow.

For those who are not experienced in sports and others who may not know anything about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or martial arts, you may feel intimidated to step into our gym, but please do not hesitate or be anxious, it is not an issue at all.
Our gym is precisely for people like you. Anyone can enjoy and have fun while practicing.
However, for someone whose goal is not competing but enjoying BJJ. HONGKONG JIU-JITSU is also right place.

Most people have experienced failing in one sports or another during their lifetime, I believe it is because they feel they need to excel, try hard to please their coach or trainer, and at times it is their own preconceptions and expectations that creates stress.
For instance, no matter how you train yourself in field sports, not everyone can hold a time of 10 seconds for a 100 m dash. If the training pressures you to run at that level or you expect such result for yourself, you will burn out. We find Jiu-Jitsu to be an excellent sport because it enables the “100 m/10 sec expert group” and the “race completion target group” to both practice and enjoy training together. And to anyone’s surprise, the latter group has the possibility to win the match.
Which means a man out of shape in his 40s could win against an athletically fit man in his 20s.
The aim is just “one second longer, one second faster”. Each member with their own target, HONG KONG JIU-JITSU can help achieve their goals. Age does not matter in BJJ.
