クラス案内

Class Information

Basic Class (for white belt only who is less than three months after Joining) [ 30min ]

This class is for new members who have not grappling experienced before. We will start with the basics such as the right way to grip and movements on the ground.

Self-defense will also be taught.

The class will be taught in Sparring Class time under request. Please make a reservation by e-mail before a day.

Beginner Class [ 60min ]

Beginner class for white belt students focuses mainly on the basic movements in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well we basic throws, and submissions.

You can also learn self-defense techniques in this class.

It is recommended to join since a lot of drills for all levels and warm up will be reinforced.

Regular Class [ 60-90min ]

Regular class is open for all students regardless belt colors and level. It starts with warm up movements, and then moving to techniques and drills, finishing with free sparring.

Sparring Class (Open Mat) [ 60min ]

This class is for members who wish to spend extra time to polish their skills freely. Sparring or all training (movement, drill, fitness and technique) will be under instructor’s supervision strictly.

It is also available to use to be chatted with students.

Judo Class [ 60min ]

This class teaches Judo techniques fundamental to improving Jiu-Jitsu skills. You will learn standing techniques to take down the opponents and method of control. It is a safe and easy class focusing from the basics, also suitable for beginners.

Conditioning and Animal Styled Movement Class [ 30min ]

This class emphasizes on personal conditioning by practicing a series of animal styled movements.

It is recommended for people especially who are not good at sports, or are planning go on a diet, or just try to stay in good shape. It will improve your cardio and body coordination in a fast and efficient way.

For more advanced members, please consult with the instructor for a different set of programs.

Please wear casual sports ware without any metal parts on.

※Conditioning class are held on the first 30 minutes in the regular class as warm up.

NO-GI (Grappling) Class [ 60min ]

No-Gi is also referred as Grappling. In this class, training jacket (gi) is not required. Members are welcome to train in T-shirt or Rash-Guard, and shorts.

※Cloth with metal parts on will not be allowed and cloth must be worn at all time.

※The NO-GI class will be increased the number of classes during the summer season. Please check the HKJJ Google Calendar or Time Table. For more information please have a contact with the instructor.

Advance Level Class [ 60-90min ]

This class is for blue belt or more advanced students who wish to enter the competitions. It will include a series of physical training and positioning sparring which can be very demanding. The white belt students need a permission from instructor to attend this class.

This class is not able to be visited.

Please ask the instructor the detail and the time.

Yoga Class [ 60min ]

The word yoga is derived from Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which essentially means to join or unite. Have you ever been aware of your breath ? Especially when being emotional in daily life ; or being tired and gas out in the sparring and competition ; or feeling nervous before the fight or some critical moment ?

Learning how to control the breath in Yoga practice can definitely help to stay calmer to face different and even difficult situation. Staying focus with the breath can center the mind and keep connected with the concentration, which assists to let the mind pure. By practicing Yoga, one can achieve not only the longer length of body stretch, but also enhance the level of strength as Yoga includes different dimensions of body movement and holding postures involving different muscle groups. More Yoga practice may help understand more about one’s own body and gradually enhance the consciousness of the whole body.

Combat Jiu-Jitsu (Light MMA) Class [ 60min ]

This class is for White belt 1degree or more advanced students who wish to feel or learn the Mixed Martial Arts.

This class focuses on Jiu-Jitsu under the assumption of real combat. Practice includes attack techniques using gloves and open-finger gloves. Ground work technique used in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) called pounding will be practiced, utilizing it and defending against it.

Members are welcome to train in T-shirt or Rash-Guard, and shorts.

Kickboxing (Muay Thai) Class [ 90min ]

[※Under preparation]

A class helpful for those lacking exercise, or those with no martial arts experience, and for ladies to start kickboxing as a beginner. This class is perfect for shape-up, using combinations of punch and kick techniques improving cardiopulmonary function. Members are welcome to train in T-shirt or Rash-Guard, and shorts.

※Cloth with metal parts on will not be allowed and cloth must be worn at all time.

Kids Class [ 75min ]

Time:Every Sat:13:00-14:15

This is the class for the kids between 6 to 12 years old(Primary School Student). This class starts with basic exercise such as mat exercises to learn how to control own body. The class continues to learn break fall, basic Jiu-Jitsu movements and respect for opponents while having fun through playing some games.

Any kinds of sportswear are accepted. (For example: Jiu-jitsu-gi, Judo-gi, Karate-gi, T-shirts, sports wear without metal parts such as fastener.)


*Attendance is not compulsory. Members are welcome to join, train and rest at their own pace. Remember, do not let your work and age take away the chance of being fit and healthy from you. At HKJJ, our instructors will always be happy to assist. We promise to set up a program that will work the best for you.

This Free Trial Session is a safe and easy class aimed for beginners. It is suitable for those who are not confident in sport activities. HKJJ can accommodate various needs such as weight-loss, good health, self-defense and other personal dreams.

Why not personally experience martial arts you often see on TV shows and magazines.

We welcome all walks of life, from students, children, ladies, elders to businessmen who could use some easy exercise.
